Takuro Yamamoto (Takuro Yamamoto Architects)

This is a small concert hall for classical music in a residential area of Tokyo. In spite of a location surrounded by housings, you can enjoy music in an environment only the sky seems to exist outside because windows are positioned in the upper part of the space, adjacent houses can’t be seen from inside. In addition, a ribbon window at the foot of the stage was set up, combines a mirror and a top light to reflect the sky above. It makes the scenery lower than eye-level also sky, which makes you feel as if the whole building were surrounded by the sky instead of residences.
