This project is the headquarters building of a concrete block manufacturer. With the aim of expanding the possibilities of block construction, the designer and the manufacturer began with research and development to improve the block’s strength, workability, and aesthetics. The structure “reinforced concrete masonry” (RM) construction was adopted to express pure block massing. We aimed to create an icon of block architecture by freeing the building from the structural constraints of RM construction, seamlessly connecting the interior and exterior, and creating a striking visual effect through the framework.
