After living abroad for a long time, our client returned to Japan and chose to spend her final days in the mountains. We wanted her to spend her retirement years in a quiet and lush space, so we created an active space in the center of the building, with private space on the north side and public space on the south side. “The large roof at the base of the mountain” ensures a large volume for each space, connects them in a relaxed manner, and envelops them with a generous roof, creating a home that is uniquely hers.
