A Campus Evolving from a Hub of Exchange to a Hub of Co-creation
The project to relocate the Faculty of Image Arts and Sciences and the Faculty of Information Science and Technology to Ritsumeikan University’s Osaka Ibaraki Campus has promoted interaction with the local community and contributed to the revitalization of the city center. By fusing visual expression and information technology, the project aimed to create “specialized co-creation” through interdisciplinary research involving existing faculties, and to disseminate and allow the local community to experience research activities, thereby creating a co-creation cycle with Ibaraki City’s “citizen co-creation” urban development, and developing the campus together with the city.
