Osamu Morishita (osAmu Architects)

At the end of summer 2019, I visited Oi town amidst the chirping of cicadas. I considered creating a comfortable environment where people could gather. I aimed for architecture that brings together homogeneous spatial units to create differences in density, generating diversity within order. Air masses covered with ETFE absorb, store, and release solar energy. Sunlight diffuses through slits in cedar plank louvers, creating an open and tranquil environment that connects to the natural environment and surrounding culture.
